Voracious reader and 5-year volunteer for Friends of the Palo Alto Library. Animal lover and 7-year volunteer for Palo Alto Animal Services. Instrumental, with other dedicated and creative animal lovers, in preventing PAAS from being closed. More recently involved in the establishment of Friends of the Palo Alto Animal Shelter (FoPAAS), which is now a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.
