Palo Alto Downtown
Celebrate spring with all of your friends at the 91st Annual May Fete Children’s Parade, held each year on the first Saturday in May. This year’s theme is “What will you Discover?” The theme is a celebration of childhood curiosity and discovery. It aims to foster that love of curiosity and discovery in every child and celebrates the finding of that special activity or talent that is a child’s “spark” and unleashes their energy and joy.
It’s a wonderful community tradition and the oldest Children’s Parade in Northern California. The parade features marching bands, decorated floats, and thousands of kids skipping, skating, riding bikes, wearing costumes, and parading their pets down University Avenue. The parade will end at Heritage Park for the May Fete Fair to be organized by the Palo Alto Recreation Foundation and the Kiwanis Club of Palo Alto. The Museum of American Heritage will also be having a Vintage Vehicle Family Festival from 10-2:30pm.
